It is one of the lovely high settled villages in the Drôme region, and the Pays de Bourdeaux and its inhabitants can be very proud of it. The castle dating back to the 16th-17th century was built over the ruins of a previous fortified castle that belonged to the counts of the Valentinois. One can walk up to it through a narrow paved alley.
An association called ADCAVL has, for 25 years, carried on with great effort to give life again to this place, for example organizing international working camps among other activities. This young and dynamic association also encourages and sustains local initiatives in many other fields.
The village of POET CELARD is a place one must not miss when discovering the Pays de Bourdeaux. During the summer season in particular, miscellaneous activities are organized around this small mediaeval locality that attracts more and more people. Various touristic facilities allow a great number of visitors to be accommodated in campings, guest houses or bed and breakfast, chambers d'hôtes, rural lodging.
